Carolyn J. Harris

Harris, Carolyn, age 70, of Pelham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2020. Carolyn will be best remembered for her kind and loving nature, which was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 14, 1950, to the late Robert E. McNamee and Marion V. McNamee. She graduated from Berry High School in 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Harris, Sr.; brother, John Franklin McNamee and nephew, Daniel Logan McNamee. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Harding Almond (John) and her son, Gerald William Harding, Jr. (Kristen); her brothers, Robin D. McNamee (Donna) and William Daniel McNamee; her grandchildren, Conner Almond and Catie Almond and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Southern Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gerry Harding, John Almond, Conner Almond, Robin McNamee, David McNamee and Joey McNamee. The family would like to extend special appreciation to her work family at SEPCO, Inc. and to her special Steel Magnolia girlfriends, you know who you are.
