Chuck graduated from Midfield High School and later earned an associate degree from Bessemer Tech. He built his career in construction, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.
On May 29, 2010, Chuck married the mother of his children, Mindy Shunnarah Kitchen and together they had two loving boys that he adored.
Chuck had a deep love for Alabama football and enjoyed boating, fishing, music, and horses. Above all, he treasured time spent with his two sons, who were the center of his world.
He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and his devotion to family.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Kitchen. He leaves behind his children, Hollis Abraham and Charles Hudson Kitchen; their mother, Mindy Kitchen; sister, Jo Ann Bevis (Farron Bevis), Chet Kitchen (Niki Kitchen), and Jo Paley.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm with a brief celebration of life to follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham.
