Cherry was born on September 2, 1957, to Conrad and Lessie Mae Livingston in Cullman, Alabama. During her younger years, Cherry was a member of her local 4-H club as well as the Future Homemakers of America. After graduating from Cold Springs High School in 1976, she went on to work at UAB for 13 years before choosing to stay home and raise a family. She was a proud member of the United Methodist Women’s Organization and enjoyed volunteering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Birmingham. Cherry was a wonderful wife and best friend, adored mother, and beloved grandmother whose warmth and kindness were felt by all who knew her.
