

She was born on August 13, 1934 in Protection, Kansas to Leroy and Erma Smith, and was a long-time resident of Meade, Kansas and Ashland, Kansas. She was employed as Treasurer for Clark County, Kansas for many years until her retirement.
On June 4, 1955, Coleen married Alfred F. Brown, who later predeceased her. On June 13, 2007, she married Donald D. Morlan.
A member of Grace Christian Church in Helena and the Calera (Alabama) Elks Lodge, Coleen is survived by her husband, Donald D. Morlan of Helena; two daughters, Debbie Boeggeman (Bill) and Kim Marcy (Randy); step-children, Donald Morlan Jr. (Kathy), Dianna Lehr (Donald), Steven Morlan (Helene), and Stan Morlan (Mary); 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Coleen Morlan's life will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Grace Christian Church, 869 Highway 52, Helena, AL 35080. The family will visit with friends on Thursday at the church immediately after the service.
On Monday, June 6, 2016, Coleen's family and friends will gather at Protection Cemetery in Comanche County, Kansas for the 2 p.m. graveside service.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to Grace Christian Church, Helena.
