Constance Harris Trammell, at the age of 90, passed away November 15, 2020. Born to Norman and Della Harris in West Point, Kentucky on April 24, 1930, Connie had six brothers and two sisters. They were Norman Bruce, Jr., Lewis Dink; Martha (Richard Columbus Craycroft); Larry; Anne (Arthur Edwin Rademan); Fred (Margaret Louise Cunningham); Robert Clayton (Dorothy Geraldine Rickert); and Grady Warren. She was pre-deceased by all of them. She moved to Alabama as a young adult and spent much of her life as a citizen employee for the U.S. Army with the 87th MAC. Connie was married to Barton J. Trammell, Sr. for 65 years. They moved from Birmingham to Indian Springs Village, Alabama where they lived for over 45 years. Connie enjoyed reading novels, watching Alabama football, playing Rook, and was a talented bowler. Bart passed away one year and 2 weeks before Connie did.
She is survived by their sons Jeff (Rebecca), Scott (Glena) and Paul (Nancy), and daughter April Benford (Bruce); one grandson, Danny Wilson (Robin); six granddaughters, Jennifer Wilson; Hannah Pencek (Tyler); Erin Benford; and Rachel, Shannon and Natalie Trammell; and six great granddaughters, Brianna Montagano; Katelyn and Haley Nelson; Alexis Wilson; Luna Melvin; and Lillian Scott Pencek. Connie was lovingly called "T" once she became a grandmother.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 masks will be required. The family will have a private graveside service to honor Mrs. Trammell.
