Debbie Hausen, a cherished wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly on October 14th, 2015 in Birmingham, Alabama. She is remembered by all for her kindness, gentle spirit and love of people. Most importantly Debbie showed a committed and unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we place our hope and confidence in the fact that she is and will forever be a redeemed child of God. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jack; her sons Josh and Jordan, and her daughter-in-law, Laura; she is also survived by her grandson, Elliot. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Ann Walker. Debbie was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived much of her life in Columbus, Georgia, where she went to high school and college before meeting Jack. The family spent the last 23 years in Birmingham, where they are surrounded by friends from all stages of life. Debbie was actively involved at Redeemer Community Church (4022 4th Ave S, Birmingham, AL 35212) where a memorial service will be held on Monday, October 19th at 12pm. We invite all friends and family to attend this service. In addition, a visitation will take place at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17th from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a donation to Shepherd’s Fold (shepherdsfoldinc.org).
