Dolores Milner Bowen

A native of Valley, Alabama, Dolores enjoyed time at the beach, ballroom dancing, attending church activities, reading her Bible and supported many ministries. She was a member of Metropolitan Church of God.

Dolores is preceded in death by her father and mother, John T. and Mary Lowe Milner, sister LaNoy Milner Strickland and brother John Herbert Milner.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ronald R. Bowen, brother Jerome (Cheryl) Milner, sons Jeff (Cindy) Willingham and Joel (Cindy) Willingham, granddaughter Shea, grandsons Ben, Christopher (Lillie), Alex (Emily) and Justin, two great grandchildren and brother-in-law Leon Strickland.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Visitation will be 1-2 pm with the service beginning at 2:00 pm.

The committal service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in her memory be made to Beechwood Baptist Church Music Ministry, 2659 Mount Olive Rd, Mount Olive, Alabama 35117 or Alzheimer's Association.
