Betty was married to James Kenneth Bean on August 1, 1959. She worked as a Nursing Aide for Carraway Methodist Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, and was a member of Kingwood Church in Alabaster, Alabama. One of her favorite pastimes was singing with the Nifty Fifties.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth; and her parents, William C. Ballard and Katherine McGee Ballard.
Survivors include Betty’s two children, Donna Willis (Roger) and Mark Bean (Tracie); two grandchildren, Brett Willis (Samantha) and Logan Bean (Laci); and a host of other Bean family members.
Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama, immediately followed by A Service of Remembrance for Betty at 2:30 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Interment will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Pastor Larry Jones will officiate.
