

She was born to Thomas Odis ‘Tommie’ and Mary Watley Fox on March 26, 1938 in Chilton County, AL. A gifted student from an early age, she was double promoted in school and graduated as valedictorian from Isabella High School, Maplesville, AL. After moving to Birmingham, she met the love of her life, Bobby, whom she shared 67 devoted years of marriage together. She poured her heart into raising her children and built a warm, loving home rooted in faith and family. Estelle was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of First Baptist Church of Alabaster, where she enjoyed attending senior groups, and forming lasting friendships. She enjoyed those meaningful moments which included gardening, cooking for those she loved and most of all spending time with her family.
Estelle is preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Mary Fox; brother, Tommy Joe Fox; grandchild, Lucas Alexander Hines, and son in law, Rick McCrary.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bobby; children, Mark Hines (Jan), Tammy McCrary, Sandra Howell (Richard), Richard Hines (Kaci); siblings, Anna McCraw, Geraldine Jones (Jimmy), Paul Fox (Joyce) and Gilbert Fox (Jane);9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will conclude in the adjoining Cemetery.
