I still miss you and think of you everyday.  You had so much courage and fight.  Only thr people that knew you could understand the depth.  I miss Pops too.

I miss you Gene.I was there at Tom Williams Buick when you and Jerry Roberts came back from Florida in 1968 and you got sick on the plane. I admired you from that day you never gave up you were a real fighter

Bille, Elizabeth Ann and Bobby. I was so saddened to hear of Gene's death. Being neighbors years ago in Bush Hills my parents thought the world of both brothers and they were so helpful to them. Of course most of our cars came from Gene. He was such a role model for people. I never heard him complain. Give your mom my love and will keep the family in my thoughts and prayers. Love you guys.

So sorry to hear about Gene.  I know things have been difficult for some time.  Hayden and I really enjoyed living next door to Gene and his family in Hoover.  Carrie and Kim spent many hours daily just hanging out and enjoying each other. Gene may be gone but he is not forgotten. God be with the family.

I knew Gene in our Church 45 years ago.  A good young man who I know is in a better place now.  My prayers and sympathy for his family.

Fred, Amanda, and I remember with much fondness our games of cards at our house with the  McDanals and others.  The eating , playing,  the cutting up,and just neighbors having fun.  Gene was a good man, and I will always appreciate the MANY cars he found for us.  Our hearts go out to the whole family who have stood together through this long and difficult battle. Gene was a great friend and toughest man I ever met. He woke up every day and was a winner. I will miss Gene, but I know he deserves his rest. God loves Gene. I will never forget him and will always think of him fondly. We will talk about him often. Rest in Peace Gene. You deserve it.

I learned it's a small world.  I knew Gene through a friend without realizing he was also the brother of a dear classmate, Elizabeth Cagle, until now.  He was a remarkable man who carried forward for so long with the loving support of family and friends in his business endeavors.  I have never known such a fighter before.  May he rest in peace.
