Fredrick "Fred" Reynolds Jones Jr.

Fredrick Reynolds. Jones Jr., age 81, of Helena, Alabama passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. He was born to the union of Reynolds and Wilma Jones. Fred received his formal education at Minor High School in Birmingham, AL. He furthered his education at University of Montevallo. Fred was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Fred was married to Harriette Jones on March 8, 1969 in Sandusky, AL. Their union was blessed with two children.

He was employed by State Farm as an agent for 35 years. In his leisure, he enjoyed boating, spending time on the river, and watching Alabama football. He was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

Fredrick Jones was preceded in death by his father and mother, Reynolds Jones and Wilma Goolsby Jones, and brother Rick Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory, former wife, Harriette L. Jones; children, Mark Reynolds Jones (Sheryl) and Ashley Jones McCray (Joel); grandchildren, Evan Reynolds Jones and Colin Edgar McCray.

Visitation will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 9:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Village Falls Cemetery, 305 Mulga Loop Road, Mulga, AL.
