He was born on May 21, 1949 and after high school, attended Jacksonville State University. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict. Before his retirement, he was employed for many years with Sunbelt Rentals. Gary enjoyed watching Alabama football and deep sea fishing with his friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Hogue; and his sister, Linda Williams.
Gary is survived by his son, Steve Hogue (Tammy); and two grandchildren, Austin Hogue; and Tiffany Maxwell (Andrew).
Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery in Midfield, Alabama.
