Georgia Marie Sentell Belcher of Hoover, Alabama passed away Thursday morning, November 17, 2011. She was born April 8, 1944 in Ashland, Alabama to Johnie Wesley Sentell Sr. and the former Nettie Lucille Coleman. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She graduated with the Bachelor of Science Degree from Howard College, now Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Survivors include Marie's husband, Don Belcher; two daughters, Kimberly K. Kleman (Dave) and Karen K. Belcher; one sister, Betty Sentell Scharf; two brothers, Johnie Wesley Sentell Jr. and Charles Lee Sentell; nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and a great host of extended family and friends. The family will greet friends one hour before the 2 p.m. Celebration Service on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Green Valley Baptist Church in Hoover. A fellowship gathering at the church will immediately follow the December 4 service.
