Harold C Wirth

Decorated retired Captain Harold C. Wirth departed June 17, 2012. Captain Wirth's battle field commission was pinned on by General Omar Bradley. Accomplished Captain Wirth received 2 bronze stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal and many more accommodations for his dedication and service to his country in WWII and the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Wirth and father, Sam Lackey, his brother Howard Lackey, and his beloved wife of 47 years, Carolyn Dorroughq. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nina Wirth, Alabaster, AL; his sister Dorothy Nigh and Richard San Diego, CA; 3 sons in marriage - Raleigh Power and Jean of Mobile, Al, John Donaldson and Suzy of Lincoln, NE, and Randy Donaldson of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren - Guy Harold Power and Takaoko of Moffett Field, CA, Raleigh Powers Jr. and Sue of Houston, TX, Valerie Springer and Brian of Lancaster, PA, Nikki madden and Nathan of Helena, AL, James R. Donaldson Jr. and Brandy of Kimberly, AL, Jennifer Ledward and Christian of Plumas lake, CA, and Stephanie Donaldson of Fultondale, AL; and his 12 great grandchildren. Wirth will be missed by us all.
