

Born in Hyeres, France, Jackie came to the U.S. in 1948 as a young WWII military bride. She followed her husband, Walter J. Keenan, all over the world and has the best military memories in Okinawa, Japan as well as in Huntsville, AL. where she managed the Redstone Arsenal Teen Club. After retiring in Huntsville, she stayed involved in many organizations such as Knights of Columbus, Volunteering at the Church, International Club, Alliance François. In 2000, Jackie moved to Wisconsin to be close to family, but in 2006, Jackie moved to Hoover, AL and became a resident of Galleria Woods Independent Living where she developed many close friendships. Jackie loved to bowl, dance, travel, and to watch Alabama Football. Jackie is survived by daughters, Nancy Keenan Jensen (Larry), Muriel Keenan Enright, and Jeanny Keenan Williams (Rod); daughter-in-law, Nancy Grosse Keenan; grandchildren Jeannette Jensen, William Keenan (Amanda), Cary Jensen, Gina Enright, Sean Enright (Jessica), Jacqui Williams, Todd Williams; and 12 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Walter Keenan; son, Frank Keenan; her sister, Catherine Sorbe; and her parents.
A funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 6th at 12pm with visitation one hour prior.
Jackie requested that any donations made in her honor go to the American Heart Association.
