

Jeanne J. Frederick, A longtime resident of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away December 28, 2024. She was born in Birmingham, on March 31, 1937. She is predeceased by her parents Virgil William Jackson and Lillian Belt Smith of Birmingham, her husband Gerald B. “Jake” Frederick. She is survived by her sister Dr. Jo Anne Jackson and brother Glenn Jackson (Judy).
She is also survived by her children Brenda Winfree (Steve); Dyanne Frederick; and Jacob Floyd Frederick II (Denise). She is also survived by four grandsons, Nathan Pearce (Amanda); Justin Winfree (Emily); Steven Winfree (Ashley); Jacob Benjamin Frederick (Courtney) and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was a gifted pianist & has been publicly recognized for her talent. Later in life she learned to play the organ & was asked to provide the music for different venues. She served many years on the American Federation of Woman’s Club executive board and was a longtime member. She was administrative assistant to Bishop Stough of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama until retirement. She loved her family and friends dearly as well as her beloved pets. Jeanne "Meem" will be greatly missed by all.
A visitation will be held at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 1912 Canyon Road, Vestavia, AL 35216, Saturday, January 11, at 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
Jeanne will be inurned at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper, Alabama at a later date.
