John "Jt" Treadwell

Mr. John “JT” Treadwell, age 95, of Birmingham, Alabama, went home to with his Lord on December 14, 2020. JT was a WWll Veteran with the U.S. Navy assigned to the Pacific Theater, a barber for 62 years and established Treadwell’s Barber Shop in Mountain Brook in 1961. He was a dedicated Lakeside Baptist Church member since 1960, where he was a Deacon and taught 6th grade Boys Sunday School. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Fannie Treadwell: daughter, Nancy Treadwell Baggett and his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Treadwell. Mr. Treadwell leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 22 years, Bettie Treadwell; son, Jimmy Treadwell ( Stephanie); son in law’ Dale Baggett; step-daughters Kayla Montesi (Al) and Patti Galindez (Carlos); brother, Jack Treadwell (Stella); sisters, Bertha Wilson (Glen) and Sara Hyatt; grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Treadwell; step-grandchildren, David Galindez (Amanda), Michael Galindez (Nicole), CJ and Stacy Galindez, Jesse and Baylee McAnally; and six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2020, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service starting at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at the Moody Cemetery. In place of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Mr. Treadwell’s Memory to Lakeside Baptist Church
