Johnny L. White Jr.

Johnny L. White, Jr. passed away at his home Sunday, May 17. He was 79 years of age. He was born in Sipsey, Alabama and graduated from Cordova High School where he was an All Walker County Shortstop.

He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine "Judy" White; brother, Lloyd White; and parents, Johnny L. White Sr. and Lois White.

Johnny is survived by his son, Terry Joe White (Maria); daughter, Penny Denise Smith (Randy); grandchildren, Jonathon Casey White of Dallas, Texas, Ashley Bartel Bliss of Birmingham, Alabama, Shannon Marie Bartel of Los Angeles, California, and Austin Crawford Smith of Birmingham; and great-grandson, Harrison Michael Bliss of Birmingham.

Johnny was a longtime member of Crestway Baptist Church and is a current member of Liberty Park Baptist Church. He retired from Durr-Fillauer Medical after over 30 years as a sales representative of medical supplies and equipment. He was a member of the Crestwood Civic Club, and spent many years coaching Little League baseball as well as coaching basketball for the Crestway Baptist basketball teams.

Visitation will be at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.. The funeral service to be at Liberty Park Baptist Church on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, Alabama.
