Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked in printing for Cook Publications for 47 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama, and loved to play golf and go fishing.
Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Powell Stone; two children, Michael Scott Stone and Susan Stone Kendrick; and three grandchildren, Morgann Nicole Stone, Stone Bryant Kendrick, and Jackson Blake Kendrick.
The family will greet friends one hour before the 11 a.m. funeral service on Monday, February 2, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Hoover, Alabama. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham, Alabama. Rev. Randy Atkinson will officiate.
