

Joy Lynn Wickett, 69, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away at her home on Monday, September 1, 2025 following a long illness.
She was born on April 1, 1956 in Bessemer, Alabama and graduated from Jess Lanier High School. She went on to marry the love of her life, Paul, on December 27, 1979. She had a passion for her family especially her grandkids and her dogs (Bailey and Bella).
Mrs. Wickett is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Paul; her children, Tracy Hopkins (Charles) and Paul Wickett, Jr. (Kristin); her cherished grandchildren, Brittany Hall, Charles Hall, Jeffery Hall, Joseph Geeslin (Kallie), Heather Hopkins, Hunter Geeslin (Katelyn), Jaylen Hopkins, Jackson Wickett, McKenzie Hopkins, Ethan Wickett, Jordan Hopkins, and Kaleb Hopkins; and her great-grandchildren, Amaya, Easton, and Everett; as well as her sister, Teresa Satterfield, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Gavin and Lucille Howton, Joy Olney, and sister Betty Waters.
Mrs. Wickett loved her family dearly, joyfully celebrating all their milestones and accomplishments throughout her life. "Grammy" will be deeply missed but her enduring faith, passion for Elvis, and strong family values will live on in all who cherish her memory.
Mrs. Wickett's wishes were to be cremated, but a visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama.
