Judith "Judy" Haygood Crowe

It is with honor and heartfelt remembrance that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Judy Crowe, who went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2025 at the age of 87.

A woman of remarkable faith, Judy devoted her life to nurturing her family and guiding them in the ways of the Lord. Her unwavering belief in Jesus was the foundation of her life and the light that illuminated the path for her children. Through her love, her prayers, and her example, she was the primary reason her children came to know and walk with the Lord. Her faith and devotion touched everyone she encountered and will continue to inspire generations to come.

In addition to being a cherished mother and grandmother, Judy was an accomplished business executive, serving as the Executive Director of the housing authority of Butler County where she dedicated her career to improving the lives of those in her community. Her work left an indelible mark on many lives, and her integrity, leadership, and compassion will always be remembered.

She is survived by her son David, daughter Cindy (Allen), son Reid (Dean), and preceded in death by her son Steve. All her children loved and appreciated her deeply. She was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them was immeasurable.

Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of faith, love, and service will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. A woman of grace, strength, and wisdom, Judy will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A graveside service to celebrate her life and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama at 11am with visitation from 10am to 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research and the Humane Society in her honor.

Rest in peace, dear Judy. Your love, faith, and example will live on in all of us.
