Linda Hovell Martin

The only child of Frank and Grace Hovell, Linda was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.

A graduate of Piedmont College, she earned a master's degree from the University of Alabama. Her career was dedicated to helping others and prior to retirement, she was Alabama Regional Director for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and the Shelby County Historical Commission. Her pastimes included genealogy research, politics, and college football.

Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Parrott; several cousins; and several dear friends.
