Lu Moseley Wilson Moss left to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 9, 2025. She grew up in Anniston, Alabama and graduated from Anniston High School in 1951. She received her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State University in 1955 and attended California State University Hayward Graduate School.
Lu is survived by her daughter, Carole Lee Wilson; son, Charles “Chuck” Wilson (Kathy); grandson, David Michael Wilson (Reayna); and granddaughter, Sarah Wilson.
For many years, Lu was very active in volunteering. She served on the Alabama Symphony Council and with several charitable and social organizations. In Birmingham, she was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in Sunday School as well as other church activities and programs. She believed in prayer, her Savior Jesus Christ, and loved and cherished her family and friends.
The family will greet friends on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama from 10-11 a.m., followed by A Service of Remembrance for Lu at 11 a.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Also on Monday, March 17, the 2:30 p.m. graveside service and burial will be at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery in Anniston.
