As a hunter, primarily of birds, and an accomplished fly fisherman, preservation of land and species was always on his mind. He joined the Presidential Council of Ducks Unlimited and the Nature Conservancy to work with like-minded individuals to accomplish his goals of leaving a legacy for future generations.
