Martha Sue Mason Reeder passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Briar Glen Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Hoover, Alabama. Mrs. Reeder was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church and a 1948 graduate of Augusta Tilghman High School in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Sam Reeder; her parents Troy and Ella Mae Spitzer Mason; sister, Dr. Mary Nell Mason; brother, Harry E. Mason; daughter-in-law, Pamela Kellum Reeder, and sons-in-law, John Whitcomb and Walter Snyder.
She is survived by her children, Janet Haynes (Jan Thomas), Debi Whitcomb and Mark Reeder; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Per her request, there will be no services.
The family wishes to thank Briar Glen for the wonderful loving care that she received there and Southeast Hospice for their outstanding care and support.
