Mary Lou Robinson Smith went home to be with her lord and savior on Friday May 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Robert and Minnie Viola Robinson; three sisters and one brother. She is survived by her three children, Tilden (Linda) Smith, Marice (Jerry) Vanderver, and Gary (Sue) Smith. She had 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.She grew up in the Avondale Mills Village and worked in the mill for a short time. She later became a nursing assistant and retired with over 20 years of service at Princeton and Montclair Hospitals. She had been living with her daughter for the past 18 years in Pelham, AL. She was a homebound member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham, Al. She was a Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great great grandmother and she loved when they all came to visit. The funeral service with Barry Daniel from Hunter Street Baptist Church officiating will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on May the 18th at 10:30am with visitation starting 1 hour prior, and the burial after the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.
