Nina Sicola Capra

Nina Sicola Capra, age 76, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Saturday morning, October 10, 2015. She grew up in Ensley, AL, where her family were members of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and later St. Peter's Catholic Church in Hoover. Later, she moved to Knoxville, where she has lived for the past 15 years. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Murt" Capra, Sr.; sons, Anthony "Tony" Capra, Jr. and Sam Capra; parents, Tony and Virginia Sicola; sisters, Jean and Bernice Sicola; brother, Sammy Sicola; and granddaughter, Amy Honaker Capra. Survivors include Nina's daughter, Diann Carson (Mike); son, Chris "Bo" Capra (Amy); daughter-in-law, Pam Capra; sister, Ginger Carter (Tim); brother, Cosmo Sicola (Rose Marie); grandchildren, Kristen Hamilton (Chad), Alyssa Saunders (Jamal), Kaitlyn Stinnett Capra, Tim Carson, and Matt Carson; great-grandchildren, Jamal Saunders Jr. and Harley Hamilton, and expected great-grandson, Warrior Hamilton; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and several cherished friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham, and burial will immediately follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Father Richard Donahoe will officiate.
