Patricia Ann (Hinson) McCary

Pat was born on September 1, 1946. She was raised in Mobile, AL, and graduated from Murphy High School in 1964. She graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1968.

Pat had a green thumb and loved working in her yard earning multiple “yard of the month” awards. Well known as a fabulous cook, she loved to feed family and friends delicious meals. Her yummy desserts will be missed, and her recipes will be treasured forever. Pat was a loving and devoted wife to her husband Bob for 48 years. Mrs. McCary was a fiercely loyal mother to her boys and a proud grand mom to her 2 grandsons. Her generosity touched everyone she loved, and she never missed the opportunity to give the most perfect and thoughtful gifts. Her kind and loving nature will be sorely missed.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hadley McCary, her son Tandy Roland McCary and her parents Andrew and Lois Hinson. Mrs. McCary is survived by her son, Robert Andrew McCary and his wife Julie; and grandsons, Andrew Thomas McCary and Jeb Patrick McCary; and her brother, Stephen Hinson.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
