Robert Erwin Caldwell, 76 of Birmingham, AL, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jerelyn; one son, Scott Caldwell (Cheryl), one daughter, Lori Yonfa (Phillip); two grandsons, Chad Caldwell (Corey) and Zack Caldwell (Leah); one granddaughter, Taylor Yonfa; one great grandson, Cooper Caldwell; and one brother, Tom Caldwell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jones Robert and Mary Elizabeth Caldwell; and brothers, T.J. and Bill Caldwell.
Erwin was a lifelong member of Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He retired from BF Goodrich, Tire Centers, Inc. and Michelin after 48 years of service. Erwin was an avid fisherman.
Services will be at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Visitation will begin at 10am with the service at 11am. Mr. Caldwell will be buried at Croft-Acton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
