Susan Parker Marshall

Susan Parker Marshall "Granny" of Hoover passed away at home June 8, 2014. She won her battle with cancer, but when the brain tumors came, she started a new journey. She fought hard until the very end. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber, father, Billy Parker, grandparents, Claude and Ellie Aplin and Ida Wilson.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Mark, sons, Billy (Bethany), Adam (Julie), grandchildren, Emma, Caitlynn and AJ, mother, Betty Parker, brotherTim, (Cindy), sister, Patty and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Our special thanks to her best friends, Beverly, Karen and Paul. We would also like to thank Hope Hospice, Bruno's Cancer Center, Dr. pearce and especially Analyn.

Susan attended Denny High School and UAB. She attended Shades Mtn. Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday School Class very much.

After many years in the real estate business, she met her good friend Paul and went to work for Pinkerton Financial and later worked for Wells Fargo until she became ill.

She will be dearly missed by many.

Services will be held Wednesday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham with visitation starting at 10:00 am and a chapel service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Souther Heritage Cemetery.
