Susan M. White

Susan McCracken White, age, 76 of Hoover, Al.passed away August 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Robert White, Parents William Lionel McCracken and Ruth Malan McCracken, and brother, Robert Edward McCracken.

She is survived by her son, David Lionel White, daughter, Laurie White Adams, daughter-In-law, Joy Tootle White, son-In-law, Johnny Wade Adams. Brother, William “Bill” McCracken, Sister, Cynthia McCracken McIntyre.

Other Relatives, Sue McCracken, Sister-In-Law, Barbra McCracken, Sister-In-Law, Timothy McIntyre, Brother-In-Law. She was born in Greenville, Illinois and moved to Birmingham in 1952 where she lived with her family in Vestavia Hills. Her father, William Lionel McCracken was a dentist teaching at UAB. She was a graduate of Shades Valley High School, class of 1959, and Auburn University, class of 1963. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while attending Auburn. She and David were married on June 9th, 1963, and were married for 52 years at the time of his death. She was a devoted mother and house wife, who raised her two children as a stay at home mother. Susan was an avid Auburn fan, enjoyed the company of her pets, and loved spending time on Lake Martin where she enjoyed bird watching, and gardening at her lake side home.

Visitation will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road Pelham Al. 35124, Tuesday August 29th, 2017 at 10:00 am-11:00 am, with a graveside to follow at 11:00 Am at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
