Ted L. Wiley

Nov. 12, 1944 - May 12, 2015 Ted L.Wiley completed his earthly journey on 05/12/2015 and has gone to his heavenly home. Ted loved his church and the doctrine of sovereign Grace and faithfully served as a deacon for many years at Vestavia Primitive Baptist Church, he was a devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend, and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. It pleased our Heavenly Father to call Ted from his years battling cancer and take him to his eternal home above. May we bow in humble submission to the will of Him, who never makes a mistake and pray that he will comfort us in this time of sorrow. Ted was born November 12, 1944 in Rogersville, Alabama to the late Hattie Marie Dison and Robert Odie Wiley. He attended elementary and high school in Lauderdale County, and resided in Hendersonville, Tennessee since December 2013. He is survived by his devoted wife, of fifty one years (Sally), two sons, Jeff (Debbie), Rincon, GA, John (Kendra), Hendersonville, TN, four grandchildren, Kristen, Jenna, Luke, and Emma, one brother, Harold Wiley (Myra), Madison,AL, two sisters, Jewel Wiley, (Birmingham, AL) and Janice Richardson (Florence, AL), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Goodletsville, TN will be held at a later date. Family visitation will be on Friday, May 15 from 9 o'clock to 9:30, friends from 9:30 to 11 o'clock, with funeral service following. Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, Alabama will be conducting, Burial at Butler Cemetery, Rogersville, Alabama. Ministers officiating will be Elder's Samuel Bryant of Vestavia PB Church, and Ronald Lawrence, of Bethel PB Church, Goodletsville, TN.
