William Vaughan McKnight passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Mr. McKnight was a longtime member of Garywood Assembly Church in Hueytown. He also was the co-founder of Max Tool, where he was involved with industrial distribution and sales. Von had a love of farming, and was always active in farming repair and equipment. Mr. McKnight is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ioda McKnight and by his first wife, Eudora McKnight. He is survived by his wife, Naomi J. McKnight; sons, William V. McKnight, Jr. and Mark T. McKnight; step-son, Trever D. Tidwell; step-daughter, Elizabeth Petty; grandchildren, Ted McKnight and Joseph McKnight; brother, Ward McKnight; and sister, Ruby McClellan. The celebration of Von's life will be at 2pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
