

William R. "Bob" Watkins, 85, of Montevallo, AL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of the Birmingham, AL area and a graduate of West End High School.
Bob proudly served in the Dixie Division of the Alabama Army National Guard for 25 years. After serving, he was inducted into the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneer Hall of Fame in 2000.
Bob was a real estate broker for 63 years. He was charismatic and passionate about helping others. He lived his life by the Word of the Lord, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Pelham, AL.
Bob was known for his patriotism, and his love for horses and farming.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Watkins. Survivors include Bob's loving wife, Stella; two sons, Michael Watkins (Gina Jo) and Scott Ousley (Tracey); two daughters, Christie Lollar (Mark) and Holly Coffman; a brother, Ed Watkins; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Justin Watkins, Jessica Watkins; Kaycee, Austin, Jared (April), and Isaac Lollar; Josh, Harrison, and Jake Ousley; and William and Lindsey Coffman.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the 3 p.m. service at Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
