Wynell Davis Turner, age 85, of Chelsea, AL, passed away peacefully September 16, 2019. She was born in Vincent, AL on April 20, 1934 to John and Bessie Davis. She worked for what is now Regions Bank for twenty plus years. Wynell's passions included baking, gardening, shopping, spending time with family, and donating time to her church at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea. One of her favorite past times was dancing with her husband at Buttons and Bows Square Dance Club. She is known to all those who loved her as "Mimi" she will be forever missed by all that knew her.
Wynell is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Charles Turner; daughter, Tammy Cochran (Don); sisters, Myrtle Lou Austin and Emma Lois Jones; grandchildren, Hannah Brooke Batizy, Bethany Cochran McCandless (Gavin), Bailey Cochran Whitfield (Austin); great-grandchildren, Ansley Grace McCandless, Knox Alexander McCandless, Carson Alexander Batizy, and Caden Luke Batizy.
In honor of Wynell we ask that guests wear blue in recognition of Transverse Myelitis.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, AL from 10:00 am-11:30am with service to follow. Burial will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery concluding service.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation.
