My nana was the best growing up we had so much fun together we would cook, bake laugh . I’ll never forget the first time I brought my son to visit her and i went to change my sons little diaper he peed all over the kitchen table and me and we all laughed and she helped me clean it up . I have so many memories with my nana but she was right there when I had both of my children she stayed with me in the hospital when I had my first she would call or I would call her day or night she was always there for me I was there for her I loved her so much and this is by far the hardest thing I have done is say goodbye but I know one day we will be together again I love you so much nana my sweet angel 

It's so difficult to share just one memory. My mom was the best mom anyone could have. She was the glue that held the family together. The best memories were the family get-togethers and the love and joy we felt when we were all together. She was a good listener and guided me through so many difficult times. She was my biggest fan and gave me love and encouragement and support my whole life and let me know I could survive anything. It didn't matter what time I called; if I needed her she was there. I will miss mostly sitting with her and visiting on the porch swing. Time would stand still and all was right with the world. I love you and miss you more than simple words can express. I treasure every moment my dear sweet Mom.

I'm not sure that there is enough room here for all the wonderful memories that I have growing up with Nana.  She always told me that I was the one that named her Nana.  Of course, I don't remember doing that but it alway made me proud to know that I was the one that gave her that name because she was absolutely the best Nana in the world.  I remember playing under her desk while she paid bills.  I'm sure I was driving her crazy but she never got upset with me.  I remember staying up way past my bedtime so I could paint her nails.  It was fine that the paint was all over her fingers and toes.  She still bragged about what a good job I did.  I remember all the holiday meals and how there was always a cheese cake just for me.  I remember helping her in the garden (no, I was not much help but that never seemed to bother her).  After the gardening came the canning.  I never understood how she could take those canned tomatoes or that frozen squash and make some of the most amazing food I ever put in my mouth, but she did it more times than I can count.  I remember when I was in kindergarten her and mom taking me shopping to buy a dress for homecoming.  I loved that dress...  When Harold and I first got married we sure didn't have very much money.  We had been married about a year and Harold was offered a job as a mechanic.  We didn't have a way to buy him tools or a toolbox so Nana (and Papa too) agreed to let us charge the toolbox and tools to one of their credit cards.  I am 100% certain that this opened so many doors for us and shaped my life into what it is today.  So many memories have flooded my mind over the last few days but probably my favorite memory of all is how loved and special she made me feel every time we were together.  This is the memory that I hold dearest.  I love you my Nana.  Until I see you again.  -Melanie

I will treasure the good times  we  had  growing up and throughout the years . I will always love and cherish my ‘little sister’.  I was very proud of her raising all of her children . 
I know where she is and I will see her again one day and we will all be together with the Lord Jesus Christ.

I remember the first time I met nana it was thanksgiving when me and Jeffrey where still dating. She welcomed me in and treated me like one of her own. I remember staying the night with her and me and Karelohn where hungry at midnight and what did she do she made us homemade garlic cheese biscuits. It just really showed me how much she really cherished the people that she loved. My heart is truly broken she will truly be missed but never forgotten.

I have so many wonderful memories to share and dont know where to begin. My Nana was one of the sweetest and most loving women in my life. I remember spending summers over at her house. She would wake up early in the morning before anyone was up and do her hair and makeup to get ready for the day, and she wouldn't even be going anywhere. I remember she had a little dirt devil hand held vacuum and she would let me go around the house and help her clean with it. She always had a drawer just for her grandkids that would be filled with snacks that no one was allowed to touch. Everyday like clock work she would send me and Dana to fetch Papa from the shop to eat lunch around noon. I would help her to make sandwiches. She knew that my favorite thing was her home made lasagnas, and if she knew I was coming she would make me my own that no one else was allowed to touch. I remember how her laugh and her smile could light up a room. Her love was always infinite. If I could imagine what an Angel would look like it would be her sweet face. I will always and forever Love you Nana. You were and always will be a light that shines ultra bright in my heart.

It’s hard thinking about what has happened. It’s unbelievable how much I miss my Nana. She was always there whenever I needed her. I remember summers spent at her house, cups of multi-colored marshmallows, and the best lasagna you’ve ever had in your life. The holidays were the best, walking into her house, knowing Nana would pop her head around the corner from the kitchen and immediately offer a hug and a bite of whatever she was cooking. That’s what I remember most, the warmth of her love for everyone that walked through her door. I will love you always Nana. 

Beverly was a wonderful woman.  I loved her dearly and will miss her forever.  I was so honored to have her in my life.  The most wonderful sister-in-law ever.  Her passing has been so tough on me.  Her daughters Karen & Linda are also  special to me and will always be.  Beverly had a very kind heart and sole.  She will be missed  by all that had the honor of knowing this amazing woman.

I have so many fond memories of Bev.  She was always so kind to me - and so much fun to be with.  When you went to her house, she was always in the kitchen making something good to eat.  Her smile and laughter were contagious.  One time at her house, we decided to do each other's hair.  When done, we realized she had no hair spray in the house - so we decided to use spray starch instead.  We laughed so hard afterwards.  She was just a ton of fun to be around.  Sending our love to all of the Gupton family.  She will be so missed.

I can recall the afternoon I first set eyes upon Beverly more than sixty years ago. She was seated on the floor at a friend’s home shelling butter beans into a large metal bowl on her lap. Next thing I know, I am shelling butter beans myself while we chatted away introducing ourselves a bit to one another. If I could spin back the days of my life to a singular grace note in time, that would be it, though I never came to care for butter beans. 

We grieve, but we remember those grace notes as well, those special one-on-one moments outside of the big picture. They are the healing gifts that Bev has left to us, each and every one.  ~ Lee
