Mr. Charles "Charlie" Morgan Arthur, 84, of Bluff Park died peacefully after his prolonged battle with Alzheimer's on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at the Col. Robert L. Howard Veterans Home. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn D. Arthur; a son, Charles "Chuck" Arthur; a daughter, Elise Johnson (Michael); and two grandchildren, Makayla Johnson Poston (Jordan); Meaghan Johnson Dollar (Wade); and several nieces and nephews that affectionately called him Uncle Red.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Margarete Furey Arthur and a brother, William F. Arthur.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, westerns, music, and animals. But, most of all, he loved his family.
