He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sara Walker; sons, Charles Wayne Walker Jr (Ann), Billy Joe Walker, and Brian Howard (Carrie); grandchildren, Noah Chance Walker, David Lee Strickland, Amy Taylor, Seviien Howard, and Kyah Howard; great-grandchildren, Oliver Jase Walker, Dawson Lee Strickland, Dylan Strickland, Javen Taylor, Ryan Taylor, and Kennedi Taylor; sisters-in-law, Bennie Sue Walker and Betty Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Ethel Walker; brothers, Don, Dave, George, Robert, Jim, and Benny Walker; and sisters, Barbara Adams and Gail Rowe.
A visitation will be held at Kilgroe Funeral Home (Pell City) on Tuesday, February 24, from 5:00pm-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Evening Star Church in Vincent, AL on Wednesday, February 25, at 2:00pm with burial in the adjacent cemetery.
