

The oldest boy of 6 children, he attended John Carroll High School, Saint Bernard Catholic College in Cullman and served 2 years in the Army’s 11th Airborne. He met his wife, Alice Faye Smith in Homewood and the two married in 1956. They had two children, Deborah A. (Leon) Tsimpides, and Scott M. (Giovanna) Busenlehner. In 1962 they started Crestline Mower & Appliance Service. In 1978 they moved to Odenville where they raised chickens commercially. They built a home in Pell City where Buddy retired in 1994. Faye later developed Alzheimer’s and passed away in October of 2017. Buddy had a love for fishing, was very generous with his time and money and attended “Our Lady of the Lake” Catholic Church in Pell City.
Buddy is survived by his two children, 6 Grandchildren, Sage Linden, Annette (Tony) Plaia, Phillip (Alie Marie) Busenlehner, Emily (Josh) Wolfeld, Karen Busenlehner, Drew (Charity) Acton and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Buddy was preceded in death by his father Clarence A. Busenlehner Sr., Mother Kathryne E. Busenlehner, wife Faye Busenlehner, 4 siblings and his grandson Gary Busenlehner.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 11:00am at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church with an inurnment to follow at the Church Columbarium.
