Ashville – Funeral service for Elizabeth Hazel “Betty” Swavely Barnard, age 82, will be held Thursday, January 19 at 7 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barnard passed away Friday, January 13, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald “Sonny” Barnard; sons, David Barnard, Arden Barnard, Sr. and Mark Barnard; daughters, Donna Harris and Diane McKee; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
She attended Ashville Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She loved to sing.
