This is your next-door neighbor from Miami, FL.  From the 1960’s and 1970’s. This morning I woke up thinking of you all and tried to find you on Facebook and found your Pop’s obituary.  I’m so sorry for your loss. Your parents were the best. Your Dad was very funny.  I remember your Dad took great pride in his immaculate lawn, his home, and his family. God bless! I’m writing this from Saint Petersburg, FL and have a son and 2 beautiful grandkids. I worked in Miami, FL in 2016 and visited the old neighborhood. Boy has it changed! 

I have been thinking of my friend Fred for the past little while. I recently had dinner with Phil Ludovici and we both wondered about him. Today, I decided to google him and see where he was. So saddened to see his obituary. He was a sensitive, caring person who tried so hard in life. May he rest in peace.

One year later, a lot if thoughts and reflection

I knew Fred Hafner very well. He was my father-in-law for many years. We used to have wonderful Sunday dinners together with him, his wife Florence, and Ed and our kids. I remember him as a kind, loving, gentle man that loved his family more than anything in his entire life. Dear Fred.... Rest in peace. I love you.

I didn't know Fred very well, but I was introduced to him many years ago by a mutual friend Marilyn Pollock. He was such a charming and gentle man and a great friend to Marilyn. On her behalf I am sending condolences. She would like a phone number where she can reach Eddie, John or Bob.  She now lives in Texas.  You can send me the information and I will relay it to her.

I think about our days together hanging out at your house. Your father was a lot of fun to hang around with, too. I sent a picture today to John and Bob because my daughter graduated from FSU Law this weekend. I did not know that your father had passed away until Mom called me.
He is at peace now with your Mom in eternal glory.
I also liked our fathers connection to William Jennings Bryan Junior High. We are friends from way back in Miami.
