James A. Orr

PELL CITY - Funeral Service for James Arthur Orr, age 73, will be Saturday, November 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Freewill Church of God in Christ in Pell City. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lincoln. The family will receive friends at the Church from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Repast will be at St. Clair County Head Start.

Mr. Orr passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017. He served as a deacon for over 30 years at the Freewill Church of God in Christ. He was an avid hunter and fisherman with a great love of the outdoors. He was a dedicated family man to his wife of 45 years and family. He served his country as a member of the US Army where he served in Vietnam. He later serviced by working at the Anniston Army Depot. He loved his family, his church and his community.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora H. Orr; son, Tyrone Jordan; daughter, Latoya Orr; brothers, Otis (Lattie) Orr, Larry Dean Orr; god-children, Michael Battle, Jr., MiÀngel Edwards, Shannon Jefferson; god-sister, Kimberly Cunningham Thurmond; god-brother, Donald Johnson, Sr.
