Janette Goodgame Beavers

Janette was born to James Floyd and Willie Agnes Goodgame on March 8, 1938 and was one of 14 children. The Goodgames were a pioneer family of the Easonville community. She was the last surviving child of her other brothers and sisters. There were 2 sets of twins in this Goodgame family. Notable fact- Janette was a twin and had a set of twins. Janette's younger twin sister passed before she was a year old.

Janette was married to her sweetheart George " Sonny" Beavers for 56 years before he passed in 2014.

Due to Sonny's job requirements, Janette lived in different areas of country including Richmond, VA; Arkansas; Chillicothe, Ohio; Canada; and Summerville South Carolina. After Sonny's retirement, they chose to move back to Janette's howntown here in Cropwell because she loved her memories here. She graduated from high school here and was married here. She always longed to move back home.

After moving back, she reconnected with long time friends and joined Cropwell Baptist Church. There, she made many new friends and loved being a part of the church. Janette has always been a lover of flowers and keeping her yard looking beautiful with all things blooming. She was a master of floral design and loved decorating. She was a long-time member of Cropwell Baptist Church and loved making floral arrangements and decorating the church for many occasions.

Janette is survived by her daughters, Lori Riley (Tim) and Sharon Thomas ( Greg); grandchildren, Jacob Riley, Jessica Riley Douglas( Jeremy), George Hardy (Joan), Anna Hardy Weaver (Wayne), Shannon Young, and Nikki Young; great-grandchildren, Andrew Hardy, Mackenzie Sherrin, Alex Duck, Katelyn Duck, Emily Duck, Hudson Douglas, and Maximus Douglas; 3 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters in laws, Connie Goodgame and Shirley Reynolds (Knox); and many nephews and nieces.

Janette was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Beavers Ware; husband, George E “Sonny” Beavers; parents, James Floyd and Willie Agnes Goodgame; siblings, Hughel Goodgame and his twin sister Jewel, James Willie Goodgame, J.D. Goodgame, Joe Goodgame, Floyd "Sonny" Goodgame, Annie Ruth Goodgame Warnix, Margie Goodgame Fleming, Jimmie Sue Goodgame Topel, Regina Goodgame Harveston, Annette Goodgame, Adrick Goodgame.

A visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Burial will be at Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery.
