Joseph Milton Thomas, 90, passed away on June 9, 2022. He is survived by his daughter Kelli Thomas Agnew (Jay) and his granddaughter Shelby Agnew Britt (Jordan). He was preceded shortly in death by his beloved wife of 69 years, Irma Dean Thomas, as well as by his parents Samuel Henry Thomas and Clema Eugenia Hart, his nine siblings, and his son Joseph Melvin Thomas.
Joe was loved and treasured by all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing and his family, and especially fishing with his family. His professional life is too varied to list here, but he was most proud of his church and community work with Jimmie Hale Mission, Christian Service Mission, Alabama Youth Homes, and the work he did in governor Bob Riley’s office. His hard work and persistent spirit live on in his daughter and granddaughter.
After so many years together on earth, Joe and Irma will be laid to rest at the same time on June 25, 2022.
