MOODY - Larry Scott Church passed away on August 3, 2019. He was born on May 1, 1953 to Victor Byron Church and Irene Diane Shelton Church in Vallejo, California. He spent his early years moving from Iowa to Memphis to New Jersey to Nova Scotia. His middle and high school years were spent in Springhill and Oxford High Schools, graduating from Oxford High School in 1972.
Larry worked as a chemist apprentice and later a chemist side by side with his Dad for many years. In his later years he worked as a water analyst for 32 years. His passions were Alabama football games, NASCAR Races and Washington Redskin football and bargain shopping at the Baggage Claim store.
Funeral Service will be Monday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church. Interment will follow at Valley Hill Memorial. Larry is survived by his brother, Waldo (Susan) of O’Fallon, Illinois, sister, Alicia Church of Montgomery Village, MD, sister, Evelyn (Tim) Roebuck of Moody, Al, brother, Carl of Millcreek, UT, brother, Victor of Millcreek, UT, sister, Carol (Joe) Harmon of Pell City, AL. He loved all his nieces and nephews. Jacquelyn, Lucinda, Rachel, Ashley, Joe, Geoffrey and his grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Byron Church and Irene Diane Shelton Church, brother, James Lewis Church and sister, Kathleen Claire Church Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in his honor. Kilgroe Funeral Home – Pell City directed the service

Well, I worked with Larry for several years and found in him a good guy..We went to basketball and football games,had many lunches together and shared many laughs......Rest well Larry...….You will be missed...…...
