

Margaret Buck Goodman, born March 21, 1924 Birmingham and a resident of Auburn, AL, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the age of 98. She was primarily involved with caring for her family, but taught in the Lower School at Alabama School for the Deaf in Talladega, AL. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, William L. Goodman, her son; John Nelson Goodman; her parents, Hubert Nelson Buck and Vivian Watson Buck; her sister Elizabeth (Lib) Thomas and her husband James (Jim) Thomas; her brother, David E. Buck and his wife Doris.
She is survived by three children, Richard Buck Goodman and wife Shirley of Pell City, AL; William Robert Goodman and wife Mary of Opelika, AL; Katharine W. Coxwell and husband J. Milton Coxwell of Monroeville, AL; 7 grandchildren: Richard Brant Goodman, Margaret Jane Goodman, John Mark Goodman, Madeline Alexis Goodman, Lillian Eileen Goodman, Stewart Coxwell Richards and William J. N. Coxwell; 4 great grandchildren: Madison Alexandria Goodman; Margaret Daley Goodman, and Rebecca Brantley Goodman and John Whitfield Richards, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery in Birmingham on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 am.
Memorials may be given to Parkinson’s Research or Alabama School for the Deaf.
