Danny and Michelle Roberts were my first good friends after we moved from Lexington Kentucky to Waco Texas in the summer of 1997.  It was the two of them that took us to their church, and that is still our church to this day.

I soon found out that Michelle could make, and, or copy anything.  She was incredibly creative.  I remember driving down Interstate 35 looking for cedar posts, cause she knew a guy!   We then made cedar post trees...little tiny Michelle knew how to use power tools, and we soon had made several cedar post trees....who knew that in the next couple of years, they'd be all over the place. The next project was learning how to fix ripped  (and missing) wallpaper.  Now, Michelle could barely reach the area even with a great big ladder, but somehow she managed to stretch that tiny frame and make it look good as new.  Our very last project, and the most meaningful, was in December of 2014.  Her migraine headaches were just terrible, and because of the severity, she wasn't able to get out much.  However, this particular day, I was needing inspiration so I knew who to call.  She was having a "good" migraine day, and she came to my house.  She had lost allot of weight because of food triggering the migraines.  She really didn't look like herself, but she was still totally Michelle. I was needing an idea of how to use costume jewelry that had belonged to my mother n law who had passed away earlier in the summer.  Michelle suggested decorating photo frames.  She made the first one and I basically copied her idea.  I gave those frames to family members that Christmas.  I sent a photo of all the frames with favorite pics in them, to Michelle.  She was just thrilled, and so was I. 

A delight every year was to go to Michelle and Danny's house during December.  Michelle was a collector of Dicken's village houses and accessories.  She didn't just have a few of these....she had hundreds, AND she knew every story behind every piece she owned.  it was just incredible. She could have been a Dicken's village historian. Every year i asked the same question....and HOW long did this take to set it all up?  Every room in their house was magical with lights and moving parts

Danny you do not know me but my family and the cars were close.  our Fathers worked together at Johnson's  We love Eddie and Barb and we loved Linda.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I was Ray Gillispie's daughter and our stepfather Norman Sinkhorn worked with Eddie also.  I have always had fond memories of those days.  She was a beautiful person. You were truly blessed.
