Mildred "Dot" Smith

PELL CITY – Funeral Service for Mildred “Dot” Smith, age 94, will be Wednesday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Birmingham. The family will receive friends Wednesday from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Smith passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. She is preceded in death by husband, K. W. “Sonny” Smith; son, Charles Steven Smith; daughter, Donna Lynn Sanders; brothers, Bill Murphy, Ralph Youngblood, Jr., Jimmy Youngblood, Kenneth Youngblood.

She enjoyed going to the Pell City Senior Center for several years and being involved in the Women’s Auxiliary at Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Brown Webb; grandchildren, Alan Brown (Val), Mike Brown (Farrah), Jennifer Russell (Paul); great-grandchildren, Will Brown, Thomas Brown, Katelynne Russell; brothers, Charlie Murphy (Mamie), Joe Youngblood (Suzette).
