He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Shirley-Stephens (Daniel); granddaughter, Avery Stephens; sister, Deborah Cochran; brother, Fred G Shirley (Debbie); and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Burkette Shirley; parents, Fred and Elva Shirley; brothers, James Earl Shirley and James Michael Rich; and sisters, Tammie Shirley Floyd and Ginger Shirley Slovensky.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, at Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm with a chapel service to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Alabama National Cemetery on Thursday, January 8, at 10:15am.
