Roy is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Paxton; daughter, Bernadette Paxton; son, David Paxton; granddaughter, Samantha Paxton.
Roy is survived by his son, Roy Thomas Paxton (Chryl); grandchildren, John David Paxton (Scarlet), Kyle Paxton (Patience), Stone Paxton; daughter in-law, Kathy Paxton. Roy is also survived by his 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation for Roy will be Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.
Graveside service will be held later that day beginning at 2:00pm at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
